School

Delfin is based in a lovely Georgian building with large, bright and modern classrooms. The school offers a full range of English language courses including general English, business English and exam preparation. Both morning and afternoon courses are provided by great native teachers at very competitive prices. Delfin believes in providing high quality education in a friendly atmosphere.

Delfin English School Dublin is located in the centre of Dublin, beside the main thoroughfare of O’Connell Street and moments from the iconic Spire monument.

Courses

Standard General English 15 hours

The focus of the General English courses is to develop your communicative abilities and to activate your existing knowledge of English. Lessons are generally based on everyday topics and are active, task-based and relevant to daily life. Students taking the General English course have the choice of studying in the morning or the afternoon.

Lessons: 15 x 60 mins / week
Levels: Elementary – Advanced
Max students: 15
Age: 16+
Timetable: Choose morning OR afternoon schedule
Morning: 9.10 – 12.25, Mon – Fri
Afternoon: 13.45 – 17.00, Mon – Fri

 

General English 20 hours

General English 20 is Delfin’s most popular course, as it allows students to combine General English 15 hours with an elective class. Students have the choice of taking General English 20 in the morning or the afternoon. There are a variety of elective classes, including ‘international communication’, ‘working in English’, and ‘writing skills’.

Lessons: 20 x 60 mins / week
Levels: Elementary – Advanced
Max students: 15
Age: 16+
Timetable: Choose morning or afternoon schedule
Morning: 9.10 – 13.35, Mon – Fri
Afternoon: 12.35 – 17.00, Mon – Fri

 

Exam Preparation

Exam Preparation at Delfin English School is a 15-hour programme, where students are placed into a focused exam preparation and practice class in the morning. Studying this course combines level-specific language development with examination preparation, tailored to the international English examinations (Cambridge Language Assessment and IELTS).

Lessons: 15 x 60 mins / week
Levels: Intermediate – Advanced
Max students: 15
Age: 16+
Timetable: 9.10 – 12.25, Mon – Fri

Business English

Business English at Delfin is a 20-hour programme, where students are placed into a General English class in the morning, and then take a Business elective class for an hour afterwards. Studying this course combines level-specific language development with exposure to business situations and case studies.

Lessons: 20 x 60 mins / week (15 General English + 5 Business English)
Levels: Intermediate – Advanced
Max students: 15
Age: 18+
Timetable: Choose morning or afternoon classes

Delfin Accommodation

Homestay

Generally located outside the city centre, homestays can offer you a huge number of options, including single or shared rooms, half or full board and en suite or shared bathroom. You can even choose one of Delfin’s “executive” homestays, which are located closer to the school. Delfin knows all their host families personally, so they guarantee you’ll receive a warm Irish welcome!

Homestays are located on a public transport route to the school. The commute could take 45-60 minutes.

City Accommodation

If you would like to have your own space, and a bit more independence, while having the opportunity to live with people from Ireland and all over the world, Delfin’s city apartments are the perfect accommodation type for you. The city apartments are within a 20-30 minute walk from the school.

Student Residence

The residence is perfect for students who would like to live in university style accommodation, where students live in large blocks of apartments, with shared cooking and socialising facilities. The residences are within walking distance from the school and students can choose to have a private bathroom if they wish.
